Privacy Policy

This document sets forth the principles for processing the personal data of Users of the “Skills Audit Method” website as well as the use of cookies on the website. The data controller is the Educational Research Institute – National Research Institute (hereinafter “IBE PIB”) headquartered in Warsaw at ul. Górczewska 8, 01-180 Warsaw, Poland,  phone: +48 (22) 24 17 101, e-mail: ibe@ibe.edu.pl

All questions and requests on exercising your rights as well as inquiries concerning this Privacy Policy should be directed to our Data Protection Officer at the following e-mail address: iod@ibe.edu.pl or to the Data Controller’s address indicated above. 

When you enter the website, the User’s browser automatically sends information to the website server, such as:

  • the IP address of the computer entering the website,
  • the website from which access is made (the referrer URL),
  • the browser used and, if necessary, the computer’s operating system, as well as the name of the access provider,
  • information about errors occurring while browsing our website,
  • information collected via cookies or similar technologies.

 

This data is processed by IBE PIB for the purposes of:

  • providing electronic services in the scope of making content available on the website – the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – processing is necessary for the performance of a contract,
  • analytical and statistical purposes – the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interest of the controller consisting in analyzing user activity and preferences to improve functionalities and services provided,
  • possible establishment, pursuit, or defense against claims – the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interest of the controller to protect its rights.

 

Cookies

The website uses cookies. These are small files with information that are stored by the web browser on the User’s hard drive or in the memory of a mobile device during the visit. Cookies are used to enable browsing, the use of site functions, and to collect and analyze information about User visits, such as the number of visits, average time spent, browsing history, location, browser and system information, and other statistical data, allowing delivery of content tailored to User interests. If any cookies used by IBE PIB process personal data, processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, i.e., the legitimate interest of the controller to ensure optimal functioning of the website and its user-friendliness.

Managing Cookies

Cookies necessary for using the site are automatically installed on the User’s device because they are essential for providing telecommunications services (data transmission for content display). Users cannot refuse these cookies if they wish to use the service.

Therefore, the controller of this website is not responsible for any loss, damage, or violation relating to the use of External Sites, nor for any information, personal data, content, practices, or policies implemented by these External Sites. Users are obliged to review the privacy policies and terms of use of External Sites before interacting with them. Users acknowledge that some External Sites may use their own cookies, tracking mechanisms, and data collection procedures beyond the control of this website controller. Users access links to External Sites at their own risk. In case of doubts about privacy practices or data security on External Sites, it is advised to exercise caution and avoid providing any personal data. This policy does not apply to information collected by External Sites, and all inquiries regarding their privacy practices should be directed to the respective controllers of those sites.

Data Recipients

Recipients of personal data may include persons or entities to whom the controller is obliged to provide data under law. Data may be entrusted for processing to IT service providers and hosting providers.

Data Processing Period:

User personal data will be processed as long as necessary to achieve the purposes of processing or until an objection is filed (if the basis is the legitimate interest of the controller) – whichever occurs first. For data processed based on consent, personal data will be processed until consent is withdrawn or the reason for processing ends.

The User has the following rights:

  • the right to access their data and receive a copy thereof, the right to rectify (correct) their personal data, the right to erasure, the right to restrict processing – in accordance with GDPR provisions,
  • for data processed based on consent, the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing,
  • in the case of processing for legitimate interests, the right to object for reasons relating to the individual’s particular situation,
  • if processing violates regulations, the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (address: ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland).

 

Changes to the Privacy Policy

To ensure the Privacy Policy always complies with current legal requirements, IBE PIB reserves the right to make changes at any time. Any changes or additions will be communicated by posting relevant information on the website.
